"It has been the best investment (maybe ever??) that I have made…"

My goal was ‘Body Recomposition’, I was not as focused on the scale moving but I wanted to lose fat, gain muscle and overall look more ‘toned’. My assignment from Lauren was pretty simple! Stick to my macros, hit 10k steps a day and continue 3 lift days a week... I had no idea how these simple things would change my body in such a short time. In the first few weeks I saw the scale drop, but my lifts continued to increase (in certain lifts I am up 20+ lbs from where I started!!) When I started fueling my body with exactly what it needed, the change happened naturally. I don’t really do any cardio (the occasional conditioning class) and I just walk to hit my step goal. The biggest takeaway from this whole experience has been learning how to eat to be the best version of myself. It has been the best investment (maybe ever??) that I have made for myself. If you’re on the fence I am telling you, DO IT!! Commit and you won’t regret it!!

I’m really glad I decided to try somewhere new! After just one class I knew this place was a good fit for me. This ladies only gym has a welcoming feeling, a nice new facility and is located in a convenient location too. Lizi and Bryan are patient and friendly. All coaches are knowledgeable and clearly passionate about sharing that with others. They offer great coaching and instruction, making sure to teach proper mechanics of each movement during class. They work to everyone’s pace, ability and knowledge level. No need to feel intimidated if weight training is a new concept for you. Everyone is encouraging. It’s easy to schedule classes, track your progress and to see improvements happen over time.

"At 63, I am focused on strength and mobility as I get older..."

I recently joined Lighthouse weightlifting program from urging from my daughter-in-law to try it with her! I love the 1 : 1 focus on form and correct alignment with each move. I have tried different gyms with cardio programs and different weightlifting programs that focused on more bodybuilding versus strength training, and functionality. At 63, I am focused on strength and mobility as I get older to be able to do the activities I love such as biking, paddle boarding, hiking and playing with my grandkids. After being in the program just about a month, just 3 days a week, I am already seeing changes in strength and mobility.
