3 Strength Training Essentials You Might Not Be Doing
Confidence doesn’t magically appear once you “look a certain way.”
It’s built by doing hard things, learning what your body is capable of, and proving to yourself — repeatedly — that you can handle more than you think.
Tip 1 - Record Your Sets / Reps / Weights
You need to track your lifts to measure progress. Without tracking you will likely just keep doing weights that you are comfortable with and hardly every increase weights. You need to keep increasing weight to see results. This can be scary to do, especially on your own, but the goal is just small increases. We have weights down to 0.25 pounds and there is aways a spotter there to help you hit that new PR.
It means:
Feeling capable in your own body
Improved posture and physical presence
Trusting yourself in unfamiliar or challenging situations
Knowing you can push, adapt, and grow
This kind of strength carries into work, relationships, and daily life.
Tip 2 - Low Reps and Heavy Weights
You need to lift heavy, relative to you, and you can not do 30 reps of a heavy weight. Sets of 5 and 3 are best for strength gains. women get stronger, we consistently see:
Increased self-trust and assertiveness
Less fear of judgment or “doing it wrong”
More confidence trying new things — in and out of the gym
A shift from appearance-based goals to capability-based pride
Strength changes how women move through the world.
Tip 3 - Rest and Recover
The magic happens in recovery. Most people are overtraining, too much volume in their individual workouts, too many workout days a week. See what 3 hours a week can do for your strength.
